Long trip yesterday (Thursday 11:00 a.m. till Friday afternoon 5:30 p.m. Japan time). I was truly beat down by the time we got to Tokyo. The Business Class would have sure been nice!
As I was reading this morning, I was called to Psalm 89. Sometimes I feel like David felt (I think). I know God has called me to do something really special, but I’m confident that it is not within me, but instead must be placed on me by His Holy Spirit.
In Psalm 88 David cried to God. “Lord, why castes thou off my soul? Why hidest thou face from me?” But then, seemingly reinvigorated by the Holy Spirit, David writes, “Then thou speakest in vision to thy holy one, and sadist, I have laid help upon one that is mighty; I have exalted on chosen out of the people. I have found David my servant; with My holy oil have I anointed him; with whom My hand shall be established; mine arm also shall strengthen him.’ I want some of that “anointing” God is speaking about here for David.

As we go to the schools, I want God to anoint me in such a way that His holy name is glorified. Only 1% of the population is Christian here. In the schools, I’m told that many will not take the Scripture. There is really nothing I can do about that. However, the God of Abraham, Issac and Jabob, the Great I Am, CAN!!! He may choose to do it through a little guy from Tennessee. Now that’s exciting!!!
Please pray that God will be glorified in all that we do.
